I have done the thermo conversion and although happy with the result on my vn ss i do think that it would be best to improve radiator air flow.
Questions I have 1. does the gen 3 engine use a bigger radiator with its thermos?.
2. Is it a good idea to create air vent flaps in thermo shroud so when at speed air can flow more freely through radiator core rather than be restricted with thermo fans & shroud?
My thoughts are that when at highway speeds to get better flow these flaps would open to allow more air through radiator as the thermo motors & shroud is more closed in than mechanical fan. I find it can run hotter at highway speeds. I have replaced water pump & radiator before doing thermo conver and water flow is good. Any helpful advise would be good. Thanks
