im definately no expert on this, but when i was looking into getting a turbo i was told by alot of people that the max amount in a stock buick engine to go was about 12 psi, but to be safe leave it around the 8-9 psi mark, but yer as i said im no expert and thats just what ive heard........ ive also heard that the t5 trannies werent that great, but then ive heard people saying that their t5 is awesome, so i guess it depends on how old your and worn your transmission is maybe? hopefully someone with more knowledge on this can help..........

v6 and v8 boxes are meant to be the same, it's just the input shaft which is longer on one. ****ed if i can remember which tho. i think v8 from memory has the longer one.
imho if you put this v6 in a navara, i'd dial up the boost, when it carks it, drop a new one in. it's probably cheaper than pulling it down for a rebuild.

12-14 psi is safe as houses when setup right on the buick after about 18 the headgaskets pop easy .an a V6 box has longer input shaft than V8 .

its hard to say what boost is safe without knowing how good the engine is i put a turbo on my buick that ran a 7psi spring in the wastegate and it dropped a rod within 2000 kays but i have heard of people with an engine with 300,00kays and last heaps and still be strong
