Default vt fuel pump in a vp

Has anyone put a vt fuel pump in a vp? Ive got a new vt pump here and the one in my wagon is on its way out i think. When it is under a 1/3 of a tank it cuts out going around right hand corners and roundabouts.

Maybe have to adjust to fit? Im not a car expert but i dont think a VT fuel pump would just fit in. Maybe with tinkering..

in physical size the vt pump is bigger, but it actually fits on the mount. The wiring connection is different but i can fix that.

you sure its the pump and not the pipe that goes into the swirl pot, seen a couple of the pipes corode and you loose 1/4 tank

No its not the pipe, i pulled the tank out to check this a few weeks ago. That was my first guess, also new fuel filter and i blew the fuel lines out with compressed air.
