You took the cluster out and pulled the trip computer out of the cluster?

Then replaced the 4 globes with LED's - (they only work 1 way up also). You didnt change any wiring?

When you turn the head lights on - the trip fails to light up.

The LED's only work 1 way round - I never get all 4 the right way first time. Take the trip out of the cluster and plug into the 4th plug. (Plug in your switch blocks too). Turn on the ignision and see if you get lights in the trip computer. If not you can then "turn" the LED's around the correct way.

I figure getting the trip to work on it's own is a good start. (all fuses have been checked yes?)

if 1 of the dash plugs got turned around - yep that would upset things.

The last bloke to have trouble like this it was just a blown No1 fuse. In your case I would be checking the earths and connectors in the lighting system. Check all the switch block plugs - head light plugs.

f**K almost the same thing happend to me but i just tried a vs cluster in the vn didnt work put the vn one back in and turned on my lights and now i have no lights anywhere in my car but only on the outside.

Fuses are all good and the lights did work inside before i changed clusters.

You may have a fuse blown on the main relay post behind the battery - has whole bunch of relays and some fuses - I think you have a head light fuse in that group.

The VS cluster is wired differently and will normally smoke the wiring loom in a VN/VP. The vs cluster may have some burnt tracks in the backing also

Yer i will check the switch and then the Relay fuse hopefully i just cooked one off those and not the whol cluster ?

Is it possible to fry all the globes at once all over my dash ?
And speedo still works and temp and fuel so wouldn't they stop working if i cooked the wiring ?
