You know when you really notice all the rattles, when you put a sub in.
Still trying to get rid of small rattles. There a pain in the ass and all you can do is find out where they come from and just fix them one by one.

Make sure all the screws that hold thing like the centre facia, gauge surround, etc are in. Most cases screws are missing as most people think "Ah.. you don't need that..."

You can get a VN to be almost rattle free.... I have one that is

its taken about 2 years but I am now the happy owner of a vp wagon with no rattles or clunks.
Just keep chasing them, my 12 year old daughter is really good at finding them while I drive and then we go home and fix them 1 by 1

The tape with a small amount of padding is great for putting in between plastic panels. I got some from Jaycar. Make sure you get the stuff thats thin, it's no good if the panels can't go back on. Also for creaky center consoles, put a dab of silicon on the bottom of the two large screws that raise/lower the console, then it won't make much noise on the metal underneath.

Went chaseing one last nite riped half the dash out, and to be honnest, i zip tied tucked away and tidied shit up that good when i put it in, I couldnt find what could be causeing it.

The VR/VS facia have a nasty habit of the breaking the retaining clips. The centre dash vents are another rattle spot. Make sure up don't over-tighten screws either as it causes the plastics to crack and crumble

Mine VN is rattle free, but then again it only has 33k on the clock

Although having said that, now that it has firm suspension and a driver under the age of 80, i wonder how long it will take for rattles to start

Yeah thats the problem i think, Ive found If they are kept stock height and driven sedatley they dont seem to fair to bad int he rattle department, Its when you start lowering em and driveing like a young person all sorts of rattles apear.

Mine was rattle free aswell with the original VP dash etc in it when i first got it 3 years ago.

Also, the center vents cant rattle, To much sikaflex on them to rattle. And the facia has all clips and retainer's i made sure of that.

The rattle is front left, And TBH apart from a few conecter's and some wire's there is nothing that can rattle, So its got me stumped. All wires zippytied and conecters wraped in foam weather striping to stop exactly this ! Dash is in no way loose, I used the VR mounting points on the dash and also modified it so i could anchor it with the orininal VP points aswell.

Absolutly nothing i loose i made sure of that.
