Default few vp calais problems nothing major (hopefully)

took my new vp calais home today such a clean car with only 141.xxx kms on it everything original to
the wheels and cassete player has service history till 100.xxx kms so not sure if its been serviced since
then ( ill put some pics up =) )

ok problems are when starting the car theres a clunk noise where the airvents are centre to the dash
also when the cars not moving shakes a bit maybe all older cars do lol? and also its leaking water?
also when braking it screetches which makes the brake pedal bit harder to push.the cars got a roadworthy
with new brake pads so yeah ?
    besides that runs reallly nice
    .

im goint to get service but cant afford it till next pay day which is in 2weeks. for mechanically minded people
do these problems sound major or will it be alright to run it here and there for 2 weeks ?

hey mate, i wouldnt worry too much about the shake, the vn, vp and vr buick motors were always a little rough. i would keep an eye on your water level though, dont let it drop too much. do you know where the water is leaking from? and about the brakes i would probably check out the rotors, making sure they're not bumpy, warped or at there minimum thickness, and if they seem fine maybe do a brake fluid flush? they're just my thoughts anyway, good luck mate

well it could be a few things. is there any obvious marks below or around the water pump, i've known of a few water pump gaskets blowing in the 3.8 litre engines, or maybe even just a loose hose clamp somewhere

yeh defiantely get an instruction manual mate, they really are an awesome help if your gonna be doing stuff to your car yourself. get a gregorys manual, they seem to be the best out there for the 3.8 litre commos
