shit thats not bad ay. for my car to do 350kms it'll cost me more like $55 - $60 (on petrol) . maybe i should switch to lpg lol. did you seem to lose much power converting to lpg or did you get your car with lpg already installed?

My VN is on straight gas.....no fuel or tank in it. I spend between $20-$27 to fill her up (lpg prices are ridiculously high IMO) and around town i get about 350kms to a tank.

On long highway driving, i will get around 500kms to a tank of gas. I haven't lost any power in mine either. have taken her down the drag strip BEFORE the performance chip went in her and she was pulling around the 15s............

    I love my car

your VN is on straight gas?
    is that recommended?
i've heard it being a precaution to run 2-3 tanks of gas and one tank of petrol, just to keep things 'lubricated' or whatever

if thats the case (being able to switch and ditch the petrol tank) i'd seriously consider going straight gas too....

my engine has been taken out and rebuilt for straight gas. No fuel needs to go thru it at all. Maybe that's some of the difference in economy maybe? My car is great economically, and like i said, long distance driving is so much better, and it's more beneficial living so far South of WA, because it's long distance driving to go into Perth or wherever else we want to go to, so gas wise.......maybe go straight gas instead of duel fuel?

I've always heard about duel fuel never working properly. You can either tune it to one or the other, but never to have both working properly, and going straight gas IMO is much more efficient.

350km on 40 litres is about 11.4l/100km. OK if mixed urban highway, not great if highway (should be closer to 10-10.5 if it's running stoichiometric), absolutely brilliant if it's stop/start urban.

Is there really much point with dedicated gas if the aim is economy? The small gains available from optimising the engine mechanically cost a lot relative to the gain in fuel consumption $$. You can lose about 30kg of petrol + tank and maybe some reduced maintenance costs for the redundant fuel system but that's about it really.

You can run two ignition maps in the ECM to optimise the tune on both fuels.
