vn service and start up

hey guys

when i start my vn v6 i have to turn the key all the way and hold it ther for about 3 seconds. but with my old vn i use to just turn the key and it would start. does any1 know what needs fixing?

and i just serviced my car new oil new oil filter new podfilter and new spark leads

anything else i need to do 4 the service

My VN does the same thing when i first start her up of a day. Also when she's been sitting still for awhile.

yeah mate its pretty normal for it to take around 3-4 seconds for a car to start, your old vn was just good at starting up lol....... with your service you may also want to change your fuel filter and your spark plugs, just depended on how far you wanna go with this particular service. a basic service is just oil and oil filter, and maybe air/pod filter depending on how dirty it is, also every service i do i check out all the other fluids while im under the bonnet, like coolant, auto transmission fluid and power steering fluid.... and i also just give the coolant system a really quick bleed with the screw on top of the thermostat housing

You you mean it wont turn over for 3 seconds, as it could be the switch on the back of the lock
