hi guys! sorry if there is a post already up about this, i just have a very slow internet because its raining an it takes for ever to load a page.. so i must post.. but any way i just brought a 1991 VN executive today for $1000 with 5 months rego, it goes like a dream but the rear window demister an the odometer dont work an it fogs up real quik.. i checked the demister fuse in the fuse panel an the demister on the back window an every thing looks ok, tho there is a melted fuse slot with a fuse still in there but that fuse still looks good... can anyone help me on how i can solve the demister problem?

an my odometer dont work! do i need to replace that or can i get it repaired? (for the next pink slip)

the odometer just has a broken cog... u can get a new 1 of ebay, but iv never fixed mine and never been pulled up for it. as for the demister, its just another normal vn problem... if u can replace the fuse, do it cause that is most likely th prob, but if not, it'll b the lil' box on the window which will need to b replaced... but i cant see that being picked up at the safety check, mine never has... lol

thanx Stan! ill check that lil box tomoz.. the guy that use to own it has wires going evry where from a amp that he had in it, an the wireing from the centrol locking an imobeliser is all over the place under that consol part that you can pull down under the steering wheel.. but it still works, just gotter lock an unlock the doors a few times so i can start the car or it wont start.. its a viper car alarm system.... can i remove the alarm an imobeliser? i wanna buy my own an get a techy to put it in so i dont gotter keep locking an unlocking just to start the car an plus i read another post about puting a lvl3 calis dash in instead

ok! i have tested the wires that plug into the rear dimister on each side of the back window an the driverside one lights the tester up but the other side dont... are thay both positive wires?
or is one positive an the other one negertive?
