    It's Tyre btw.

You should be able to fit 18's without much of a hassle

Depends what you mean by 'best' rim size. If by that you mean how big can you go then you could probably get up to 20 or 21's, you would just need to roll back your rear guard a bit depending on how wide you go. But in my opinion the best size of rim and tyre to go would be a 17 or an 18. Just whatever you do make sure you get a tyre size thats similar in total diameter than your current stockos, there are lots of calculations available if you just search google. The one tyre size I know that is very close (like within 2 percent of stock) is 235/45 on a 17 inch rim. Otherwise if you get tyre sizes that are really different in total diameter then your speedometer will become inaccurate

Oh and with the wheel guard i'd say they're probably not available from holden anymore, so you'd just have to go to the wreckers and get an old second hand one

That's not actually true. There is no such rule that limits rim diameter.

My advice would be to fit a nice set of 19's with 235/35R19 tyres. The rolling diameter is perfect, the width isn't a problem and they are perfectly legal.

if you only want a tyre thats 205 mm wide you probably wont be able to get any bigger than a 16 or maybe a 17 inch rim. even then a normal 16 inch rim will usually need about a 215-225 mm wide tyre. im sure you could find a larger rim that is still very thin for skinnier tyres but i would imagine they would be hard to find and pretty expensive, but i might be wrong, maybe someone can correct me.............

u can get a 205 18in tyre but the load rating would be way off wrong and handling and stopping would be reduced
