Default Leaking Master Brake Cylinder Connecting to Brake Booster Advice help please.

    Hi agiain people.
As it indicates above i have this problem and i was wondering what options do i have.

But before we start i will eventually be also looking at upgrading my brakes to bigger and better ones.

My master cylinder is leaking where it connects to my brake booster, its been doing it for a while now and i have put off looking at repairing it until now.

I was wondering should i replace the whole system for a second one that does not show signs of leakage, and would this be a job to do for professionals or could a lamen like myself try to tackle the job without to much trouble.

Another option i was looking at was to replace either the booster or master cylinder thinking that maybe its the master cyclinder thats buggered, or do they have some sort of seal that maybe be worn out that just needs replacing.

I am considering also upgrading to bigger brakes down the track so if i needed to replace my booster/ and or master cyclinder would it be better to do the upgrade now opting for the bigger sized master cyclinder as suggested in other threads? Would this also be able to be done myself without to much fuss or would it be more of a professionalists job?

Any help or advice would be great thanks people.
    regards Dan

Id say if you havent done it before yourself get someone to help you that has and you will learn how to do the job without being stuck with a car with no brakes if all doesnt go to plan. The job isnt hard but because your life is your brakes it isnt worth trying to chuck it together and hope for the best. The nuts and bolts part of the job is dead easy..its just the bleeding that is a bit of a challenge for a novice.
If youre upgrading in the future it might pay to put a bigger booster if your car doesnt have it already and replace the master with a inch bore one and flush the whole system with new brake fluid while your bleeding the thing up.
Just another thing I once had a resevoir lid seal that leaked and gave the impression that the master was leaking from the back....I pulled it apart .....nothing was wrong ...replaced the resevoir lid seal and it fixed the problem..so check out if this it might be yours and you wont have to do the whole thing.
