New Trans. or New Car

my transmision went on my 88 VN a couple of days ago n looks like $1800 to get a newie or reco put in, shud i bother or just go for a new car considering the car only cost me $2500 to start with. everything else is fine the engines a dream excpet the tranie. any suggestions wud help coz i dont know wat to do. i luv my car.

De Jonge's AutoHaus in Rockingham(under perth) Could get a recon installed for 700 or 900 for a better recon one
I bought my car for 2grand.. spend 500 on new steering rack and 900 on new gear box.. its worth it if u ask me
