    Default S2 engine in vn

Hey i'm thinking bout rebuilding a s2 vn or vp engine to put into my vn, at the moment it has a series 1 engine and just after some info on wat parts I'll need to do the conversion?? As far as I know I need the engine with accessories, radiator, not sure if I need a s2 computer or not?? And will my s1 t5 gearbox bolt up to the vp engine? Any other things I might need or tips for the conversion would be greatly appreciated
    cheers

Gearbox wise you will need a flywheel with 8 bolts off a S2 onwards, S1 only had 6. Other then that gearbox should be fine the computers will be orite to my understanding.

S2 engines have a different cooling system with the thermostat at the front of the engine and a radiator with a cap. Not sure if you can use the S1 radiator with some mods or need to use a S2 one?

Why not rebuild your S1 engine?

You'll need the tune out of the S2 motor.

They're different cams, so they're tuned slightly different.

People are too obsessed with how much "power" their car makes....it doesn't make power, it produces torque, from which this mythical "power" figure is calculated.

hey mate, i've done this conversion, running a rebuilt head and cammed vp sII v6. as above you will need different heater and radiator piping and you will also need a new radiator with the pressure cap on it, I wrecked a vp sII calais so i had most parts so i may suggest going to a wreckers for all the piping and buy a new radiator, tune wise just get a sv3800 chip or pay an for a tune. you may need to also get a fuel pressure reg pre fuel rail.
