Default VP stalling when engine cool

my car cant idle for more than a minute or two in the driveway without stalling, when driving it stalls at the stop signs and staggers when driving, ie looses power then regains then looses power. once engine is warmed up, either by me sitting in car in driveway with accelator pushed down for 10 minutes or by me getting on the local highway and hitting 110km, with warm engine no dramas

i have spent 3 months reading this forum, the internet and facebook groups, ready to scream, but so far have done the following with no luck

fixed vacuum leak, one that near throttle that controls heater/a/c in car
found the positive terminal is loose on battery, fixed that
    changed the map sensor
    changed the O2 sensor
    new alternator

their is a oil leak from the sump, think sump gasket is shot but area around the crank angle sensor wiring and harmonic balancer is coated in oil. cleaned all wiring and guess oil is coming from sump
have a new ecu coming in the mail, will try that, have reset current ecu. when do fault code check i always get 12, even when car dies, still gives 12.
their is coolant under the thermostat, in the hollow metal area below the thermostat, but i never see coolant leaking to it and coolant level dont drop, so maybe is coolant from last thermostat change? i only had car 3 months.
what should i change next? am going to strip down throttle and clean it out tomorrow but has me baffled as when car engine is nice and warm the car runs fine.

freeze spray the crank angle sensor when its warm, if it starts playing up then bingo.

but when engine warm no drama with car, i thought crank angle sensor only plays up when engine warm?
other dramas, when u turn on a/c heater control. u get only fan air, no heat no a/c. i pulled the controller out, checked its vacuum plugs and put in a replacement control but still no heat or cold air and at the moment is 0 to 4 degrees when i go to work, so need heater.

crank sensors can stuff up hot or cold. check ya heater tap, is it working as you turn the heat control knob? is the vacuum line kinked? is there vacuum to the tap as you turn knob? does heater work when you manually operate tap?
have a look under dash, i think theres a flap that if it doesnt work then no heater will work on drivers side,???

heater i took away all kickboards/panels. at the heat control knob their is vacuum, so no kink to their. when i turn heat knob, following the metal wire back it does pull/push another lever. in the gregorys book it says it could be faulty thermostat, so thinking of changing that.
their is no heat inside car no matter what i do, i have tried the manual operate on tap, no heat. was just reading gregorys and it says a faulty a/c can affect the idle air control valve.
with faulty crank sensor would a error code show up on ecu?

Sometimes a faulty CAS (Crank Angle Sensor) wont cause an error code to set,so Id be changing that to see if theres any difference..The symptoms you have described are very similar to what happens when the CAS is on its way out, it usually only plays up when the engine is hot,but not always.Id also check the temperature sensor.Theres 2 temp sensors. Not the gauge sender that has one wire going to it,but the other one for the ECU that has a couple of wires going to it.The ECU uses this sensor so it can adjust its settings to give the right air/fuel mixture for a cold engine. If its not working,or if its sending the wrong info, the engine wont run right when cold.
