Hi there, my names chris
i have a 92 vp commodore
ive got all road worthy stuff done and the mechanic presser-washed the engine before we left.
as soon as a got about 100 meters from the workshop it stalled, and its been mine for about 3 months now and this has been the first time, now its stalls often and the idel is off and on from high to low when parked. and when i shift from D to P it some times stalls.
i think it might just be shit in the throttle body but im not very sure
please help
hey mate, try doing an error check. follow this link to learn how-
Checking your Computer for Faults (VN - VP)
if you do get an error code then look at this page and theres a list of the codes down the bottom of the page-
ALDL Information for the VN & VP Holden Commodore
good luck
my vp had 12 on error code, ie no drama, had same trouble as you. found a vacuum hose split, found the + on battery was loose, found the fuel rail was loose, one nut loose, found the return fuel line split, no leak, replace o2 sensor as it was covered in carbon and wrecked, found the sending fuel line on fuel tank was loose, nut not tight, then took the throttle of and the idle and mat sensor area full of carbon and crap, uses oven cleaner as no kero or carbo cleaner here, it now sparkling. put all back together and she fine again.
