Water Pumped wrecked bolt heads...help.

Hey guys,

Brother has a 1989 VN wagon, and needs a new gasket for his water pump, got all that and the tools to do it all.

Buuuuuut the bolt heads on the pulley are completley ruined, basically like circles, and we fear we might not be able to get them off at all;

is there any other way we can get this apart? we need to have that car running asap, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

i'd cut the bolt heads off and use a die set i think it's called. it basically drills your old threads out...and i think the water pump bolts are left hand thread aswell so keep that in mind.

u could invest in some easy outs. u drill a hole in the head of the bolts and use the esy out in the hole and it will get them out.
