HELP - VP Calais- Alarm only working when it wants

For some reason my standard alarm/imobiliser only works sometimes, the boot switch works, and then sometimes the imobiliser works. Otherwise the press remote button just constantly flashes.
I have replaced the battery and still have this problem..... Any ideas?

hey man, sounds like the remotes transmitter may be duffed, i think you should be able to get an after market one and just have to re program it, but other than that u can still buy re-production ones off of Ebay...... just a few ideas
