    Question performance and duel fuel

Hi all, I just need a bit of info before i do any further mods to my car. I know duel fuel is not really the best thing for maximising the performance potential of a car but I do not want that to stop me from trying.
I am confused about CAI. I am under the impression that lpg is more efficient in the warm as compared to petrol. is a CAI a waste of time?
i have also been told a performance chip does not work on duel fuel cars. Is this a myth or is there a different chip that is required to do the job?
At the moment I have only put in a high flow air filter and am about to overhaul my suspension. I don't want to do anything else until I know the full implications of how it will or won't affect a duel fuel car.
Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated thanks.

performance chipping will work for a gas setup it would just have to be different your better off going to get it dyno tuned on the gas.
but in all effect one of your fuel systems will be weaker and perform worse than the other as you cannot optimise the computer to suit both systems.
you can either make it run better on petrol or run better on gas its impossible to have optimal performance out of both at the same time
if you go to a gas place he should be able to tune it a bit for you if not i suggest getting it dyno'd as i said before

you can get a fair bit of power out of LPG. The engine just needs to be set up for it, get new leads and spark plugs made for LPG. CAI will help, the colder air (and more of) the better. You can advance the timing a bit more on LPG cars. I'd assume it's a vapour mixer so all adjustments would be like adjusting a carby, and they can make some good power.

Yeah, LPG has a higher octane, so you can get more power out of it, but it can be tempremental.
Anything you do to the intake/motor, it will need a good tune (of the gas mixer) a bit more complex that a carby, but same principles.

Was meaning its hard to get a good mix between the two fuels, like 75 hjprem said, the more you tune for one type of fuel, the other will usually suffer.

Go straight gas, and get a gas cam cut, throw a S/C on it and wind up the boost

I know about the difference between them as I tried making LPG the dominant fuel in my other car, In the end I gave up and kept the gas for cruising and petrol for when I wanted a bit more power.

Was just saying incase the O/P decided to tune it himself... Best to go to a gas specialist

You can optimise the tune for both fuels. Easiest is to replace the chip in the MemCal and stack the binaries, one with the injector pulses set to zero and the ignition timing optimised for operation on LPG. Use a high/low at C9 to switch between the two stacks.

worst thing is theres no point fitting high flow filters and shit cause where the gas ring is in the intake before the TB is about as small a hole as a golf ball LOL ditch the gas she will go faster straight away on petrol just from removing the restriction
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable
