did you change leads too? check your air box (if you have one) coz if this ain't sealed properly it can cause 'pops' and backfires if its bad.

Leads are practically brand new. Airbox is good and I don't know how that would affect it any way either.

can't get file to play on my crapheap comp....but if it is a popping out the tail pipe you are speaking of that can be the sign of a burnt out valve

Well I must say that one of the spark plugs was very black compared to the rest. Would this be a sign of a burnt out valve and what would be the cost of doing it?

what u should do its a compression test. that will tell ya if u have a burnt out valve. cost for doing valves... would be better to do a reco head exchange i think. not sure how much that is though.

i hate change over heads, i would rather get mine reconditioned if they are good, that way you know your getting good head back and not someone elses cracked or over heated head.

Does anyone know the cost of reco'ing heads and what it costs to port them at all?
