    Default fuel economy memcals

Hey guys, i currently have a greenfoam performance memcal in my vp v6 auto but now im a first year apprentice and im more concerned with getting good fuel economy rather than going fast and wasting precious fuel lol. There's obviously alot of posts about performance memcals but nothing I can find about fuel economy ones. Has anyone tuned a memcal for getting good fuel economy rather than performance? and would it be really worth getting one? Cheers

When i got my greanfoam tune it was a tune to increase performance and economy, and im pretty sure thats the base tune he gives everyone unless asked for a different one. But he can make one's leaned to one side more then the other.

The fuel used is directly related to the pressure of your right foot.

lol nah im quite good with the pedal now, would just like the air/fuel mixture leaned out as much as possible that is still safe for the engine

A work colleague stuffed around with tuning these cars years ago the end result the factory memcal is the best settings for general use. I don't think any reprogramming is going to give significant economy gains and if it does given the cost of the re tune your not going to save that money in fuel for a very long time so if I was you go and get a stock memcal and put the car back the way Holden made it and keep it well serviced to the book and make sure your plugs, fuel filter, air filter and leads are all servicable.
If you want better fuel economy upgrade to something with an Ecotech engine.

well i just changed my oxygen sensor over the weekend. before i changed it i was getting 10 L/100km highway and about 14 L/100km city driving. after i changed it i have got the highway driving down to 8 L/100km but i havnt had a city drive yet, im hoping for around the 12-12.5 L/100km
