i went away the weekend just gone and before i did i started the car as just routine/maintenance thing i also left the battery on charge cause it tends to drain for some reason. i came back on the sunday night and walked out to my car after getting some advice from a forum member about one of my problems. i fixed the problem (kudos to 88greenvn) went to start the car and i got sound like the battery was flat. i thought thats weird but with the battery flattening itself i thought bound to happen eventually so i got a new battery and still got the sound everything lights up and does what its supposed to but it wont start also when let off the key after the sound the central locking goes up and down? what the f? is my starter motor cactus or is it a relay i dont know any and all help appreciated cheers dave

get a hammer and smack the end of you your starter.. or to see if its the starter its self' place a screw driver between the positive and the start(bridging it basically) and see it turns over if not starters shit it self...also check your engine relay
ok cheers ill give that a go and let u know cheers dave

A good way to do it is get a mate in the drivers seat with the key turned all the way (as in trying to crank it over) and u stand my the motor and knock on the starter. reason for this is on my VK i had starter motor issues and usually hitting it solved the problem, but one day i was stuck at the servo and knocking it wouldn't work.... some crusty old man told me to do what i just said b4 and it worked, least i could get home and stop delaying the inevitable and change the the thing... im soo bad for procrastination hahha... anyway giv that a go bro..
i tried the above but same outcome it just makes a sound like the battery is flat but its not but ill try what u said brad cheers
