    Default Cluster Warning Lamps

Here are all 4 of the Warning lamp cards for Level 1 and L2 clusters VN VP VR & VS

The VN units in a VP make all sorts of horrible combinations - nothing works

The VR VS units are mainly the Sat Belt warning replaces the Press Remote.

I think the extra PWR was for the export cars - Not sure what it did tho.

ah, now I see, you know I just went to the trouble to put the vr gauges inside the working vp cluster just to get those lights right, now i will have to change them back to get that last annoying light to come up.

    thanks

Here are the Level 3 diffussers. (the first is from a Toyota cluster) I'll check a VN Holden unit to see if it's any different.

Move the light blue wire on connector 1 over to slot 10. To make sure, look at the list on the back of the cluster it will have what pin out number it is - 10 or 11. I think it's 10 tho.

its a break fail light, if you've updated to a calais dash like me it could possibly be a check engine light ( mine shows up as break fail )

Very interesting, when i brake it goes away, when i let go of the brake it comes back on.

If i change the pads will it go away? Or is there something serious going on?

I'd check all the eaths on the tail lights first - give all the wires at the back of the globes a good wriggle when on and off the brakes - see if any flicker. Also I'm guessing you have checked all the globes by now and are working correctly as far as you can tell. The wriggle test may show up a bad earth.

sorry for this thread dig, but i have a light coming up on my vs, it goes away when i break, it is the light in between abs and check engine, ( post number two, bottom left hand side, second from the left) that light is coming up. Is that just a globe problem?

I think that is the brake fail warning lamp - check al the tail/stop lights before you pull the cluster out

Wonder why you posted this - adds nothing to the thread - not even remotely funny. But your post count hits 20 - good stuff.
