I'm in the middle of a interior re do on my vp ute, been doing one peice at a time so i can keep it on the road, this weekend my calais dash goes in, and custom door trims are waiting until the handbrake is moved, this has got me thinking about getting the seats changed over to bucket seats so i can get the centre console in.
wondering what kind of seats you guys would recommend, comfort and looks without blowing the budget. I aint going to spend a shitload of cash on a new leather package, but would gladly put in second hand leather calais seats etc. Which seats do guys think are the best bet? Not afraid of doing the work to put something a little different in if it is worth the effort.
and can some one please confirm for me, when im moving the handbrake, all i need is the vp hand brake assembly and the rest of the gear is in the centre already, even the cable? as the door side lever is just an extension from the centre right?
this would then be unroadworthy and need to go thorugh an inspection to be reclassified as a 2 seater instead of a 3 seater wouldnt it??
Thought never crossed my mind, perhaps someone else can fill in those blanks, if thats what it takes though, thats what it takes i guess. not that it is physically possible to sit someone on the half bench as it is now, if i put a passanger there i would be knocking their teeth out everytime i changed gears, leaves me dump founded why holden ever made a 5 speed on the floor with those seats. its not just a tight squeeze, its impossible to get someone on the middle seat.
