Default Undoing clutch cable from pedal.....?

Hi guys. Been searching through the posts and found some good stuff but still not entirely sure so need to ask.... Im trying to get the clutch cable off the pedal so i can pull it through the firewall but I just cant get it to unhook... Really cant see in there properly cos theres too much crap in the way so reaching up awkwardly and jiggling, pushing then swearing... It just wont come off. Is there something Im missing?

Sorry Its a VN V8 too.

    Cheers..

Swearing, f-all space to move, nope your doing it right!

You just need to persist at it, even if you do it the right way it will take a few go's. I spend atleast 10mins on it when i take it off, but ive done it a few times now.

Ouch thats a tricky annoying job you got there, the worst part is when it comes off it will feel like it happens so easy and you will wonder why it took so long, but yet thinking it is simple as, and trying to repeat that action, is nearly impossible

    Ha. Thanks guys.
yeah the bloody thing just wont pop off the end and theres so much crap under the dash with siliconed wires and after market alarm thingys.. It looks like something from Dr who!! I can just get my fingers to it and its loose and got heaps of play and feels like its gunna come off... but just.... dammit wont faaaarkk.... budge.... grrr!!! swear swear... Etc...

Ill get it eventually.. Just feels like theres something else holding it there, but just as long as Im told theres not, ill persist.

    Cheers

I've never had to do mine, but do you have to unhook it at the clutch end to get a little slack through first maybe???

Yeah it is advisable Other wise you will have very limited play, pretty much just the gap it makes when you lift the pedal up.

Cheers guys. Finally got it off. Took absolutely ages. Especially when you can only get a couple of finger tips to it. yep i undid it at the clutch and in the end pulled the clutch pedal right out with my right hand and with my left i really pushed underneath it until my finger felt like it was gunna explode and it popped off. (the cable that is...) Then i had a beer....
