With a press, pretty easy. You will need a couple of short lengths of pipe to support the arm and to push the bushes out and in.

The bushes are tapered so only push them in and out past the narrow end.

Only push on the steel around the rubber.

With voided bushes, mark and match their orientation in arm - that's assuming that they are correct to begin with.

I think that buying the complete arm and bushes genuine is not a whole lot more than a full set of the bushes alone.

i bought this kit for mine and i fitted it in 1/2- 1 hour, imo saves so much hassle with presses and stuff and the car felt so much better and tighter in the rear end

That's my opinion too, buy the arms with better than stock bushes already fitted, save heaps of hassle and they're all new and shiny.

There arms are not as cheap as you guys are making out compared to just the bushes. I just took my struts up to the shop and asked them to do it, ill be picking them up tomorrow.

lol so to be clear, the bushes in question are the ones in the front suspension where the radius rod connects to the lower control arm? If so then those particular bushes need to be replaced using a press mate

i may be wrong but i have a feeling that after removing the radius rod you need to get a wheel alignment done? can anyone clarify?

Im not 100% sure about how the VN/VP camber is adjusted,I know the VR/VS has an adjuster bolt on the steering knuckle so I cant say about the camber, but I know the radius rods adjust the caster angle of the front suspension by means of the threaded part at the front of the radius rod where it joins the body. And the set castor angle will be lost if the radius rods are removed at the front of the body.If the radius rods have to be removed from the body as well as the control arms then measuse the distance of how far the bolts are tightened to on the radius rod ,or how far they protrude through the body mounting or measure the distance of the remaining thread on the radius rod. Then you can get it close enough on re assembly.I would still be getting a wheel alignment anyway to get the best handling and ride from the new bushes.

i didn't think camber was adjustable in the VN/VP without getting aftermarket parts.

yeah, we do have to get a wheel alignment. rang a mechanic and they said to be on the safe side to get one done. I don't think hubby has to take the control arms off though. now just waiting for hubby to do the bushes now. thanks for all the suggestions and (ahem) comments. i seem to learn new stuff all the time in this forum. thanks again for the help and any other suggestions floating around out there.
