Disconnection of the brake pedal switch?

If there isn't already, there should also be a switch put on the clutch pedal - and the cable (switch) adjustment checked periodically.

YEah it would have to be the break switch not adjusted up properly i would say. Check its adjustment. Dont worry about one on the clutch, its simply annoying. Every time you push the clutch in the cruise cuts out. Real awsome when ya just trying to go back a gear up a hill.

cheers guys but i don't think there ever was a switch on the brake pedal the only thing that was really changed / unaccounted for was a wire that was previously connected to the auto in the same plug as the reverse light wires. i think from memory it was grey and red. its now connected to nothing and that was the only wiring change apart from bridging the reverse light wires which now stay on all the time.
