Ive just taken off the passenger side skirt to conduct some repairs to it. On turning it over I found two square stickers, one is so faded I cant read it and the other has 'Peter Terry Rockdale' on it. I see that is a dealership in Sydney. Now my question is why would my SV5000 have a factory side skirt fitted with the dealer sticker. Were they done at the factory or at the dealerships?? thanks Shane
this is just me but sounds suss, checked to make sure its a real SV5000? could of got the genuine kit later and hence the dealers sticker? but thats just what i could come up with
Thanks mate. Im confident the car is original as Ive checked all the normal SV5000 things and also found the factory paint right in the hard to reach places as well as the build date bits up under the dash etc. Maybe the original skirt got broken sometime and was replaced with a factory new one?
The skirt may have been damaged or replaced under warranty??? All the SV5000's were assembled by HSV originally.

I had an interesting find while working on one of the power windows. I found some paper work inside the rear passenger door which shows that the car was once stolen and stripped or damaged. It has a list of new items that were replaced, ie front bumper, side skirts etc. It even has the tow details of where the car was found and taken back to the workshop. I was confident the car was original and now I know why the skirts had the dealer stickers on them. Mystery solved![]()
holy crap that car has had some history lol good find, those beasts are insane, what build number is urs and in what colour? also can you tell me where i might find an SV5000 grill?
