Default VN v8 trans playing fully games

Had my v8 for about 6 months now... My first v8, and back to an auto (said i'd never do that again.. but anyway)

When i bought it i made sure the trans was operating perfectly, and it did.

    til now.

when i hold it flat the 1st to 2nd change is a bad slur, like it's slipping. But at 3/4 throttle it shifts fine and bumps into gear. even kick down is precise and doesn't slip.

Only change since i bought it was i put in a VS 5L engine and got it dyno tuned. Makes a reasonable amount more power than it did stock, but not enough (I would think..) to cause the trans a premature death?

Did a service today and it seems a tad better, still slips. Removed the trans cooler and the trans seems more responsive?? what the?

Before people jump to it... Yes i have adjusted the kick down cable, and throttle cable correctly

oh and the other thing i noticed after adjusting the kick down cable.. the gears shift through very early. Doesn't hold them very long???

any other ideas on what is up with it??

If this trans is dead in going manual

you sure you adjusted it correctly pull it right out of its slide and then go full throttle the TV cable will slide into the correct postion by itself

Easy to adjust. As your looking at the adjustment press the button in and then slide the hole adjuster to the driverside guard. Then hop into car and with engine off depress the accelrator pedal to the floor it should adjust to where you have your foot planted on the accelerator pedal. And your ready for cruisin.
