I'd think at least you would have to get a new radiator with a cap and replace the surge tank/washer bottle with the correc t overflow bottle/windscreen washer bottle and replace cooling system hoses as nessecary. You may also need to lengthen or shorten a few of the wires that go onto the engine as some of the sensors may be in different places. There may be other things but I am not sure what they are.

yeah thats what i thought too, i have the loom for it so i would assume that i can just swap it with the engine and i have a radiator for it too. was just curious if there was any major issues.
    thanks for the help

slight difference in wiring with the alternator regulator source wire being on separate connector from battery terminal on s2 but easily changed.

Get the S2 loom from comp to motor, s2 radiator with cap, overflow bottle, There is wire difference at the loom near the battery its to do with the alternator its a basic transplant, keep the loom and change some wire and you will be right, if you keep the s1 loom on it, you will have to extend 3 wires for the sensors on the manifold Water temp sensor and the engine temp sensor for the dash.

The crank is completely different.... Different size and different amount of bolts. Either get a new crank or buy one of those pricey crank adapters (i got the adapter).

crank isn't a problem if he uses the series 2 flex plate or fly wheel if it is a manual

hi easy swap, i did mine 2 days ago, i detonated my s1 motor due to a knock sensor failure and major pinning from being on boost, im running a eaton m62 supercharger, im now running a vr motor, im still running the s1 loom and a stock s1 computer only had to extend one wire for a temp sender, i had to run the vr radiator i modified the old coolant tank for a resivor bottle, blocked both top hoses and had the bottom one feeb the radiator, also had to run the vr starter motor cause i couldnt get the s1 one to bolt to the block, i also had to change the throttle body so i could hook up the kickdown cable, if running s1 computer and loom dont worry about the cam sensor, its not needed
