KNOCKING. harmonic balancer???

randomly i now have loud knocking noise..
low down i looked under the car its not the tailshaft or exhust
i have no power lose. i might be harmonic balancer? its loud rattle on idle but when take off dies out??
anyways i can checkk this

Check the condition of the rubber in the centre of the balancer, the should be no cracks or missing bits. If it knocks at idle then simply looking at the balancer should tell you if it's the culprit.

there is pretty deep crack in the rubber n little chucks were hanging off it to? any tips on how to get it off. i got auto

i thought i would include a pic of mine
but u need to take off the pullys but remember how they went!!!!!!
then take off your fan
undo the harmonic balancer bolt
and then get a 3 pring puller onto it and pop it off
get ur new 1 and tap it back on and put it all back
if i have missed anythin any1 let me know
