why would holden pay for it? did you buy the car recently from a holden dealer? the cars 20 years old, is the sunroof even factory?(i doubt it, since the cars an exec) you will 99% have to pay for it out of your own pocket.
as far as i know its factory the car is a berlina....
so should u replace your sunroof every 20 years so this dont happen.. no i think you should get what you pay for and if i knew this would happen after 20 years i would not of purchased this shitbox i would of got a magna..
theres plenty of vn's getting around with sunroffs that havent flown off. without seeing what condition the sunroof/seals were in, theres no way to tell why it came off. i certainly wouldnt want an equivalent year magna, much prefer the vn.
so im guessing you bought the car used. how long have you owned the car? for it to have flown off, surely it would have to have been loose, especially with the windows wound up.
Subscribing for the lolz.
I'm going to hit up holden cause i had to replace some brake pads. Whats this world coming to when brake pads dont last 16 years.

lol, ring holden and ask em to replace it. but record it and post it up on here... would love to hear what the say.
I wouldnt have liked to have been following or coming the other way when this happened.I reckon a sunroof would go straight through another cars windscreen ,and probably straight through the occupant as well quite easily at 110 km/h.

If it has done over 100000km its well out of warranty LOL, only just. Sorry mate, i just havent heard someone with a 20yr old car expec the manufacturer to even consider paying for a fault of any kind. If it is factory I doubt they even make them still

If it came out just like you said all on its on im tippin the seals were not good as you say if they were good it would not blow out all on its own and im sure from other posts ya get the idea as to what holden will say.
You say you bought the car 3 months ago? Unless you bought it from a used car yard i'd say chances of a warranty claim are slim to nil. Even then highly doubtful you could get anything from em. Is it the full electric sliding kind?
