Default VN V8 80 Lt Sender unit

Anyone know where to get one new? Holdens say obsolete now.

I've been told by Motor Traders they are out of production now past 5 years and only second hand will be found.

mate if you can't find one, just 'recalibrate' a normal 63lt sender unit - ie bend it until the readings are right.
that's all Brock did with the 90Lt tank sender units.

Had the tank out today and the sender is well worn. When it get to just under 1/4 it drops dead

Tried 1 other sender (v8) and it did the same thing. I'm going to get a new V8 unit and see if I can modify that to read close to the 80lt unit.

Im sure I saw on ebay aftermarket sender units that may be able to be modified.

IRC.... Standard and long range tanks have the same senders, I THINK the only difference is the fuel inlet pipe diameter. I have normal size tank sender in the shed if you want pictures.
