Default An observation about the Commodore S

Just wondering why everyone seems (including myself) to call the VN Commodore S an S-pac.
I bought my first VN when they were new and as far as I was concerned back then they were an S.

As I said just an observation

I guess people are just applying a modern term to an older car? as in a sports pack

Yeah, I seem to recall the XE had an S-pack as a production model with a large "S" decal on each side on the rear quarter panel just in front of the tail-lights (?). Certainly, there hasn't been an official Holden "S-pac/pack" designation.

I always thought it was more dealership lingo, as its refering to the package on the car, same as the "country pack" etc.

I had an S pac (I called it spac) XF wagon with the efi 4.1 and a 4 speed manual, loved that car
