    Default HOLDEN vs FORD

ok i know street racing is a bad thing
but this guy in a ford xr6 5 speed(one of thows new one`s)
tryed to race me the other night at the 1/4 track.
well to start off with my vn is running auto box,vp motor, pacemakers and a CAI.from the starting line. we took off i had a bit of a jump then at about 60km/h he was sitting beside me (i wasent full stick thow)
then as he got about a foot in frount of me i dumped the go peddel and the little old vn over took him like it was sitting still.at the finish line i had about a full car`s lengh in frount of him.
how strange is that?throws ford are like 180 kw or sumthing the vn shouls be only 127kw.well i guess thats the best thing about owning a HOLDEN

Street by the sounds of it.

You weren't even under it until 60. Doesn't sound like much of a race then

I think the BA XR6 was not racing really, the speed limit was probably about 60/70 and the BA backed off at the speed limit and madsav thought what the hey and a ricer flyby.

I was gunna congratulate ya until I read that your cars a 6. I could be persuaded to believe a v8 manual would be able to beat one, but a 6 would have no chance, especially the way you described the "race". (ie tromped it at 60 and left him for dead...) Somehow i don't think your car is that quick mate. I'm not saying that you didn't win or whatever, just saying that in perfect conditions (ie a drag strip), your car would be left for dead...

    use your brain

can't believe some of you think this could really happen, either he's full of sh*t or the BA wasn't racing......

your suprised you won, so if you thought you were going to loose why wouldn't you be going "full stick" from the start? its got BS written all over it

Somehow I dont think your car goes that hard enough to give a BA a flogging! I think you have something that goes hard when you give it a flogging!!!!!! Wanker!

There's one in every crowd, but what really scares me is that there are others that swallowed the story.... Sheesh!!!!

i love reading some of the dumbass posts people make.. those new fords pull like 15.2 down the quarter mile stock! if u race properly he would win.. hands down.. coz a vn with a zorst is only gonna be around 15.5+ on a good day!

    need i say more??

Exactly what i was thinking, you'd think that if you were in a VN up against a BA xr6, then you'd tromp it from the start. The way he described the race, it was as if he was sure that he was gunna own the BA, and toyed with him till 60k's before he showed what his car could "really do"...lol

i thought it was possible too until i realised it was a 6.

i cant wait until UNR8D reads this lol

unless he was a ricer and had turbo stickers everywhere, you SHOULD have had no chance in hell.

unless it was in ford mode.... i mean limp home mode.

either that or he was scared that his trusty ford would randomly break down.

you shouldnt lie, lies make baby jesus cry dude, you have made me sad.

the reason why i didnt give it full stick was becuase of wheel spin, the car runs high 14`s.maybe low 15`s.
it was a still start race,on an old air stripe(just out of town)
he`s car sounded like it was trying because you could hear the motor reving off its nut.off memmory i pretty sure that the other driver might have been ya mum.(get real mate) the guy is 21 years old.he`s not the best driver but he can drive.ow did i forget to also add that my car in far from stock standed.
(heads ,pistons rings, bearings, you know the rest)and i dont really like being called full of s**T. so next time ask first then dis me

Mate, omitting information like might as well be bullsh!tting. In your first post you said that you were running vp motor, extractors and a CAI. You make no mention of the other work you've had done. You then go on to say that the vn should only be 127kw, which combined with the above mentioned, prompted us to believe that you car was close to stock. Of course were gunna call you full of sh!t if that's what you post, if you wanted us to take you seriously, then you should have mentioned the other mods.

And now that we know of the other mods, then combined with the fact that the BA is about 400-500kg heavier, doesn't really do alot for your argument. You want a fair comparison?? Take 400kg off the BA, do the same things to the BA motor as done to yours, and then we see who comes out on top...

Either way congratualtions on your win, just make sure to tell us the WHOLE story next time, that is if you don't want people dissin and calling you a bullsh!t artsist....

And obviously when you leave details like that out, people go, oh wow, commodores are fully sick. That stock ford had nothing against my heavily modified vn.

High 14's low 15's. Thats fairly disappointing.

Well either way, it's not Madsav's fault that the BA Falcons are 500kg heavier.
    Stiff shit for Ford.

    Cheers,
