vn s1 engine noise

hey a mate has a vn s1 and we were driving it last night then all of a sudden it stalled... battery died.. got a new battery and started find drove it for about 5ks and then it stalled.... got it started then it has a knocking noise in the engine.. sounds like bottom end..... could the be the harmonic balance?

maybe spun a bearing? for the knock, although the battery dying is weird

the battery was buggered before so was expected lolz

yer drove it so far no noise or that and it stalled, stopped on the side of the road and started it up and thats when it made the noise and the engine has been rebuilt not to long ago.

is it a really clunking/grinding noise? mates vn s1 does the same, cant figure it out

yer there is a very small amount of play in the crank too, believe it has spun a bearing in the bottom end
