    Default Radiator Question...

    Hey guys...

I have a series one radiator in my car and am in need of a new one. I personally want to get a big thick mofo but they are only made with the radiator cap on them.

How hard is it to convert to be able to use this radiator?
What do i need? what has to be done?

    Thanks a heap!!

You will need an extra tube fitted into the top of the tank near the radiator cap to connect the bleed tube from the inlet manifold. You can then use the original plastic tank for the overflow bottle but would probably need to drill a very small hole in the cap so it is not pressure sealed, I am guessing about the cap. I fitted a VN V8 aluminium radiator to my VC running a S1 V6 and used the original overflow bottle from the VC. I mounted the fitting for the bleed hose as close as possible to the radiator cap and it works fine.

If you speak to Norm Hardinge at Aussie desert coolers and you can pick it up and pay cash it should cost $500 - $600.
Every time I've picked one up he's like: "What did I quote you?" Um...500 or "Didn't you pay already?" Uh....That was last year....
    They make good radiators but.
