drivers key lock broken?

Hi,
Seems my drivers door lock is busted, the central locking remote works fine, locks unlocks all right, but my battery is flat (still works) and I was showing a friend the deadlocks tonight, used the remote, locked, left the rear window down and went to test the deadlocks (which were fine a week ago...) tried to unlock it from the inside and it unlocked... Okay :/
Anyway thought maybe I'll try the key, so used remote to unlock car, then shoved the key in the drivers door, gave it a turn to the rear of the car, and it does a full 90 degree rotation, but the locks don't unlock. Tested the passenger front door lock, key works fine for central locking, and doesn't do a full 90 degree turn, springs back upright. What's wrong?

i believe i had the same problem wen i bought my vp heres how i solved it anyway took the drivers door handle out and the locking mechanism is on a track i just used some pliers to squeeze it back into spot and it works fine dunno if itll help

I took off my trim and then gave up then and there, I don't wanna touch anything ha. I'll wait til my dads friend comes to repair the h/balancer and ask then
