Had a quick search and found a little info on what my problem could be.
Story is,
Started my car and let it warm for a few minutes, drove about 1km up the road and the car stalled downshifting at a round about, (does stall ocassionly but hit the key and it fires straight away) this time it didnt start, turned ignition off and tried again and it fired, but was running rough. Drove about another 1km up the road and again downshifting entering a servo it died. This time it would not restart. With the car winding over I can hear the injectors pulsing.
Trailered the car home.
Car is a VH with injected 304 and T5
There is no spark from the coil and checked power into the coil with a multimeter and it only showed 6 volts to the coil. Not sure if this is an effective way to check coil power or not.
Given the symptons what do you think my problem is.

ignition module man i had the exact same issue with my VP 5.0L
I'd be sus of the ignition module also.

should I replace the coil at the same time?
Is this coil suitable?

I use one of them and I'm very happy with it. Check my album on my profile for location, I had to solder in some extra length to the standard wiring and heat shrink the joins and crimp new terminals on the wires but that took all of about 15 minutes. Attaching the coil to the cover took about half an hour. Here's a hint, if you put it where mine is, use the nuts supplied with the mounts and drill the cover, I tried to tap the cover and screw the mounts in and I broke them.

fitted an msd coil and purchased a s/h module, still wont start.
with the newly purchased module I am not getting any power at the coil, but I am getting 6 volts with my old one.
what is an effective way of measuring how much power I am getting to the coil.
does the ignition module need to be mounted for it to operate correctly, my module has been relocated to inside the car, and I just plugged in the replacement one and sat it on the floor.
is there a "how to check if your module is faulty" thread
bolt it onto the body or run an earth off it to the body most wont spark not bolted on
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable
earthed it and still no luck, even tried my suspecting module
When the engine is winding over, I can hear the injectors ticking, is this what is referred to as injector pulse?
It just seems strange that with the ignition on, one module reads that I have 6v power at the coil and another gives no power reading at all
Can it be the sensor in the dizzy, what are the symptons for this....
I have very little or no power to the coil and no spark out of the coil
It all depends on what signal the ignition module is giving a earth or power signal to the coil.
You can find this out by using a test light.
car still isnt running, its got me stuffed
