Fault Code 22 - quick question
Thanks to the tips from this site about how to check fault codes, and what they indicate, I have a Code 22 fault.
So I took the TB off, and gave it a good clean with aerosol carbie cleaner. Took out the TPS, and it was really filthy - so gave it a good clean as well.
This seemed to fix the problem - the engine light on the dash no longer lit up....
After a day, it has returned. I checked the fault code again - Code 22. The ECU has been reset....
So the question is - is the fault within the TPS (and therefore simply replacing the TPS will fix this fault), or is something else causing the low-voltage signal *to* the TPS ? This is the first time in almost 20 years that I have used the diagnostics to check a fault, so have NFI how to interpret the fault code 22.
thanks
