hi all, i recently purchased a 1992 VN commodore (but it was unfortunately badged as a lexcen, so please dont hate me. lol )
i have the car mod bug on this car big time, but plan on doing things slowly.
anyway to the point
i have access to some parts from a SV3800 such as 90 litre fuel tank, slotted vented rotors and calipers to suit, aswell as front and rear bumpers basically whatever my friends doesnt want to use on his car.
will the 90 litre tank fit mine without dramas?
will the rotors also fit?
because my friends tried them on his, but said they dont fit (he has a VP calais) is there a difference between the VN and VP commodores in hub size etc?
any help is greatly appreciated as i would love to start modifying A.S.A.P
cheers
marty
PS is there a common parts sticky on here? i tried search but couldnt find anything
the sv 3800 was a vn so i would assume it would fit
bout the parts im wrecking a vr and most probly my vn so if your after sumthing just pm me im just round the corner in dbay
Im pretty sure VN V6 & V8 had different calipers (unsure about VP)....so im quitely confident different rotors. The V8 calipers are finned.
....but in saying that my VN S V6 had factory V8 calipers so i guess it comes down to whatever option box was ticked at the time.
i wouldn't bother with the 90 litre tank, just extra weight in the back, i just did a v8 convertsion and kept the 65 litre v6 tank for that reason.
Yeah, good luck filling the 90ltr tank!
When we had lexcens as company cars at my work years ago I went around and removed all the centre toyota badges from the front grille by popular demand. It's pretty easy to do if yours is still on, have a close look at it and youll see the plastic rivet things to slide out.
