vn v8 calais 1990 cruise control

so - had the car a long time, and decided to try and get the cc working.

this was not hooked onto the throttle body when i brought the car.

looked at some threads - all lights come on, green on cc control, orange on dash,

hooked the cable to throttle body and it seems ? maybe ? the housing for the spring is smashed off - as this always wants to fall off and pull the throttle open......

has any one have a good pic of a vn v8 1990 set up on the cruise control.

well well, after looking at photos on net i have found that i am missing part of the bracket also,

looks like the bracket at the throttle body end is v shaped - mine is straight in the air and my cover off the spring is missing...

so i have flattened a bit of round 10mm aluminium and bolter under a bolt and made my own

now working on spring cover......then test trial - probably jam open and wipe out into a cop or something way my day is going

Go the the wreckers and buy the missing bits - cheap as these days.

well - I found out what cruise control good for ?, and yes - it works with my make shift bracket !

Its good for sitting back with your missus giving you a blow-job, 6 or 7 years had the car and only thought to sought it out today....!!
