alternator problems

hello my alternator shit itself so i sourced a new one suppoed to be reconditioned however turned out to be a dud so got two more and so far neither the one i pulled out of it or the other three i purchased work is this an alternator problem or a electrical system.

note the alternators purchased were said to be reconditioned by a specialality company.

sounds like something is wrong in your car, make sure you are getting power to the alternators positive terminal. you also need to make sure the 2 pin plug on the alternator is also getting power when you turn the ignition on.

I had a problem on my old VN where the battery wasn't charging. Tried a new battery and a couple of alternators before finding out a fusible link had burnt out. Few dollars later and problem solved.

also check the earth strap from battery to inner guard.....mine was busted and mimicked a dead or dieing alternator
