i think vr & vs needs some sort of adapter, my vn has a vr wheel on it but i hav'nt taken it off yet. but i was in a commodore wreckers a while ago and they had on the shelf "vr steering wheel with adapter to suit vn" which caught my eye.

I put a non airbag VR wheel off an S pac ute onto my VN sedan and it fitted straight on. They use a different puller though, the VN one you use bolts the VR one you need hooks to lock into the back of the holes in the wheel if you want to get it back off again.

Don't get the LASER brand 'GM' puller on Ebay though as one of the arms doesn't go through one of the holes on the Holden wheels, wondered if my wheel was dodgily made but tried the puller on a few other VR/VS wheels with the same result

Ended up having to spend ages manually to remove the wheel
If ignorance is bliss why aren't there more happy people around ?

I've got home made pullers for the VN and VR steering wheels, the VN one is basically a bit of 20x3 steel bar with 2 holes drilled in it that match the holes in the steering wheel and a big bolt taped onto the centre. Simply undo the nut on the steering shaft until it is proud of the shart, place the bar over it with the nut towartds the shaft and put 2 bolts through the rod into the steerign wheel, do the bolts up evenly and the wheel pops off.
For the VR same deal except you use threaded rod or 2 bolts ground down to make 2 hook like ends that lock into the steering wheel.
