    Default vp l2 to l3 cluster conversion help needed

    hi people this is sort of aimed at 88greenvn as ive heard hes a bit of a master on this subject but any help is appreciated! ive recently done this conversion and had no probs with the cluster side but the kit i got off a mate was out of a vp calais and all my original switchblock wiring was different to the diagrams in the thread on here and i thought i may have already had the right wiring for the trip computer buttons but when hooked up the bottom tc button was the dome light then i got smoke is this switchblock now rooted? what to do now?

    Yep - the wiper part is cactus. You can still use the buttons to from the L3 switch block casing. Get a VN L3 and rip it apart. Change the bottom switch and remove the top switch from the VN PCB. fit the haz switch to the top slot of the VN PCB. Check the 2 globes here too. Fit the switch from the bottom of the VP PCB to the VN PCB. Assemble the the VN PCB to the black VP SB case.

    Then add a 2 prong plug to the back of the bottom switch on the modified SB. This is for the 2 wires that run to the VP PCB (need a plug for it so you can take it out if need be) The VP PCB is then plugged into the normal VP loom black plug.

    The 4th plug wires to the modified plug are all you need to do next.

    Yep start with that as the VN L3 will control all the trip functions while the remote mounted VP PCB will run the interior light delay and rear demister.

    what to do with the trip comp wires as my wiring for black plug is totally diff to diagrams on the sticky thread

    The Green Blue White Tan wires need to go from the 4th plug to the switch block.
