I come across 2x rims (19" ROH shadow chromes) which I thought I'd stick on the front, then got a pair for 19" rims of another brand for the rears (mind you sizes of both rim pairs are exactly the same). So everythings fine, next step of course is wheel balance and alignment.
Drives fine etc etc. I make my way over to local repco dealer where he tells me by law he isn't allowed to give me a wheel balance and alignment because I'm using 2 different brands of rims. Even though 1 brand are at the front and the other at the back, he said he can't do anything for me.
Is this true? It's the first I've heard of it.. I would understand if I put maybe 19" on front and 20" or 16" on rear etc etc but two different brands?
So is he full of crap or am I on my way to ebay to find 19" ROH shadow chromes for the rears to match the fronts..

sounds like a load of crap to me. so long as the two front tyres are the same size and the two rear tyres are the same size it should be fine.
I see commodores with 19" on the front and stocky 15" on the back (burnout tyres i guess) everywhere and they never seem to have any troubles like that (except maybe police attention for the "burnout" tyres), but as far as the different rims go, i dont think you should have a problem...
But if you get defected dont hold me to it...
If after installing your new stereo all you can hear is rattling, you need a louder stereo.
Wait, you go to Repco for a wheel alignment?
EDIT: Yeah I think the Repco dude is full of crap too.
