Default oil in throttle body? and slow turning over

hey guys i have a bit of oil in the throttle body and notice sometimes when i start it it chugs and carries on till i give it a good foot to the floor then its fine thinking it mite be sticking? Just wondering if it could be the pcv valve stuffing out and if i can get one off another model like a newer one or any other ideas. also noticing on some occasions its turning over real slow then try again and its fine? all ideas welcome.

    How bad is the oil?

Your battery is probably just about cactus.
And the rings might be on their last legs.

I also had oil in my throttle body, but cleaning it out didn't help at all.
Do you have the same problems as me? ( see link/thread below )
    Help solve my startup issue.

From 2 mechanics I've got 2 different answers, one said the fuel pressure/pump is playing up and the other said something about a crank angle sensor.

    Cheers - Matt.

i'd take the throttle body off and give it a really really good clean out, and make sure to clean out the IAC sensor on the side of the throttle body cos if oil has gotten into that then that will effect your idle alot. while your at it reset the IAC by squeezing it as hard as you can to withdraw the tip back a bit (note that if you do this, the first time you start the car the revs will be strange until the IAC adjusts itself, this is normal). is there a reason you think the pcv valve? you can get them fairly cheap at repco, better off getting the spring thats there too.... good luck mate

does your car stall while driving mate or is it just hard to start sometimes? if it stalls while driving then its very high likely to be your CAS like the mechanic said, but if its just hard to start but runs fine after getting it started, then its not likely to be the CAS......

yeah nah its not using oil and once goin its fine aye, just some times its turns over real slow then starts and others it idles funny then stalls then i have to have my foot to the floor then start it to get it to start but ill put the throttle body apart and give it a good clean and see if it makes a difference. Thanks heaps for the info guys
