Yet another t700 gearbox prob...

i have a vp berlina 5l and just lately the gearbox is acting funny. Sometimes it will hang in high revs before changing gears. Sometimes it'll go from 1st to 3rd, today it got stuck in first till at least 4000rpm before it changed, sometimes getting into overdrive is a right bitch, sometimes you can feel it change when sitting at a set of lights you can feel it jolt ever so slightly. But then some other times it drives normal with no probs. The t700 was serviced last year, checked fluid levels etc all good.

Obviously she needs to be looked at but anyone got any ideas what this could be and how much its gonna sting me?

ur trans is thrashed ull need a new one itl lose gears soon, 1 put a 5 speed in then ull only burn clutches
have ur ECU checked aswell best scenario ur trans is okay n ur computer is trippin,dont #### round if its that buy a new one delco sell em in the us on ebay if ur trans is thrashed put a 5 speed in itl save u in the long run ,,,,5 trans,s later

i think you need a rebuild there are other things to do before doing this but i just got sick of trannys doing this and rebuilt mine i scraped two cars for these probs

the prob with all these th700 boxes is they have all lacked matinence over the years as soon as it go's to the next owner ppl stop paying attention to the box and they get left alone then they start playing up by the thrid forth owner then they get straped and played with it's just that there old and unmaintained
