VP Mirror problem - no wiring diagram?

Hi Guys..

My mirrors don't seem to want to move in the downward direction.. both of them move left, right and up but won't move down.

I got another switch (second-hand) and it does the same thing - although it could just be a bad coincidence of the second switch having the same problem.

If anyone is able to send me just a single page of the workshop manual that shows the wiring diagram of the VP that'd be great. The one I'm using (VN) doesn't seem to match with colours...

Also happy to take any advice as to what the problem could be!

Usually the switch needs disassembly and cleaning. There's 3 ball bearings in there from memory and a couple of contacts. I made the mistake of reassembling with conductive grease inside = fail. You may have to use a little grease to hold the bb's steady for reassembly just use tiny bit of silicon grease. Also have to hold your tongue right when operating down on switch, play with pressure in different directions when testing.

Geez those bearings are bloody hard to keep in place!
