Stiff steering?

Hey all i kinda hit a curb and now my steering it tight nufin seems 2 b broken but real heavy on steering any ideas i think it wheel alignment

mate you might of bent your rack

yeah as vr1uv-fe said easyest way to check if you can jack the frt up disconect the tie rod ends from the struts and turn your steering wheel, if its still tight your rack bar is bent, also when your tie rods are disconected turn your struts left to right by hand to check your ball joints to see if there bent to.

If it is the rack is it ok 2 drive it hav 2 take the car 2 mechanic monday its only a short distance. Oh and it also pulls 2 the right fair good

i hit a curb and my steering was stiff all i did is took it in to get another wheel alignment again and it was alright

the pulling will be likley a bent radius rod

if the wheel has moved heaps then you might of bent a rack end too but if the rack is bent youll get the whole rack and rack ends

Yea iv checked the rack and from center wen turning the wheel either left or to right its real stiff in the middle wen the wheels r staight is that just the rack or is it worth just changing the rack and rack ends? Also can any1 tell me y its just in that spot and could that cause the steering 2 pull to the right am i gonna need a wheel alignment

a wheel alignment is for healthy cars yours needs repairs before anything elese

honastly if you have bent the rack there is more thats bent too, possable strut, ctrl arm, caster bar damaged bushes ect

I disconected the tie rod ends from the hub each side so turning the wheel just moved the rack and that was the same tightnes as it was wen driving so its definatly the rack nd wen just moving the rack not the wheels its fine from full lock one way 2 almost center then its real tight 4 A slight turn of wheel and then its fine from then on. Wat can b done 2 check the rest of suspension or its definalty only the rack?
