Hey guys. Ive been reading around the forums regarding manual conversions and there are heaps of threads but i am still confused about one last thing. I can get a t5 box/accessories cheap off a mate but have been told it comes with a 6 bolt flywheel (Must be off a series 1 vn i understand)
I get that the VN series 2 onwards use 8 bolt flywheels so it will not bolt up straight on without a CRS adaptor or the likes. But are the internals the same on the gearboxes? Meaning if i can get my hands on a 8 bolt flywheel then will it go straight on and allow me to bolt the box onto my vp motor?
Ive looked around and it seems the flywheels are hard to find? Do you think its not worth the hassle and i should just keep looking until i find a box with a 8 bolt flywheel?
Cheers,
Shaune
Did a bit more reading and just did find out that a 8bolt flywheel will bolt straight on. Anybody know roughly how much these flywheels sell for? And are they hard to find? Would ebay be the go or even a wrecker?
Thanks
You can get one new, but eah the gearboxes are the same. Used ones come up on ebay every so often.
